Many people in the industry work to ensure various industrial processes to function smoothly.

Keeping their lives at stake they work in the Hazardous areas, or at confined spaces.

So what basically are confined spaces and how do they affect workers safety?

Confined space is the enclosed space with limited entry which creates conditions that give likelihood of an accident harm or an injury.

Factors that make a confined space more dangerous include

(A)Lack of ventilation, (B) contents that are known or potential hazards, (C) underground locations, (D) Inside of a tank or container, and (E) Location in a space not intended for prolonged human occupancy.

And the safety hazards of confined spaces includes oxygen deficiency, possibility of chemical fumes or vapors, and the possibility of being trapped due to insufficient means of exit.

Types of Confined space

1. Permit required confined space.

2. Non permit required confined space.

  • In this article we would be talking about the permit required confined space and how FSE SAFE is taking efforts to ensure safety while working in Permit required confined spaces.

Permit required confined space is the space which contains a substance or the material that has the ability to engulf or kill the person depriving them of air. It generally consists of potentially hazardous atmosphere which has spaces with inwardly converging walls within the space or a floor that slopes downward, tapering to a small cross section.

It also consists of various hazards be it the Physical hazards or the Atmospheric hazards.

    (A) Physical Hazards- Are the hazards which include situations such as Engulfment, Falling objects, Heat or falls.

    (B) Atmospheric Hazards- are the hazards such as oxygen deficiency, Hazardous chemicals, Combustible dusts etc..

  • FSESAFE supply emergency rescue and safety products required for  working in a permit  required confined space. And protects you from Hazardous atmospheres.

Our wide range of products include:

    1. Hazardous location blowers/ Exhausters.

    2. Gas detectors.

    3. ATEX EX Proof lighting portable and temporary as well as fixed for safe Ex-Lighting in hazardous areas and many more.

    1. Hazardous location blowers/ Exhausters

All workplaces need an adequate supply of fresh air which can be natural ventilation from door, window. Or the controlled where the air is supplied / removed through a powerful fan. This helps the fresh air to enter the confined spaces and ease the working of people working in the confined spaces.

FSE SAFE is associated with the world best players working in this industry to ensure your

work safety which manufactures the fans required to force fresh air into the confined

spaces as shown. Brands associated with us are Ramfan a brand of Euramco.

    2. ATEX EX Proof Lighting-

Selecting the best light for the confined spaces is a big challenge and hence to make things easier, we have created different sets of lights for different types of spaces and vessel entry kits.

These kits are ready to use kits which includes fixings, luminaries, power supplies and cables.

Our lightings are either fixed types or the portable one.

The pictures of the portable lightings are mentioned

    Alongside.
